A bit of an odd list, in my book. 100 Years of Solitude is great, but I’d much rather replace it with Things Fall Apart. And I was just thinking the other day about how Beatrice and Virgil is SO much more masterful than even Life of Pi. There are a few others I’m not sure make good company in this gathering, but the sources are perhaps a good reason for that. Just a bit odd, is all.
